NSW: Toll road users overcharged because of system flaws
SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - Motorists using two Sydney toll roads are being overcharged because
of flawed technology.
Drivers of sedans, stationwagons and hatchbacks have been recorded as heavy vehicles
by toll booths on the eastern distributor and M5 and overcharged on their credit cards,
the Nine Network reported last night.
The flaw has led to small car drivers on the eastern distributor being charged $8.50,
the truck rate, instead of $$4.50.
On the M5 they have been charged $7.70 instead of $3.30.
