HOBLOCK, UNION COOPERATE TO EASE FEARS OF LAYOFFS.(CAPITAL REGION)

County Executive Michael J. Hoblock Jr. and the union representing hundreds of county workers are working on an agreement to address the fears of employees concerned they may lose their jobs by cooperating with management audits.

"We don't want the studies to be a tool used against our employees," said Daniel Campbell, a spokesman for the Civil Service Employees Association Region 4. "The studies should be used to streamline administration and address concerns about efficiency, not to place jobs in danger."
